As wedding planners, we had the honor of organizing a beautiful Indian wedding in Florence, an extraordinary event that unfolded over three days filled with emotions, culture, and traditions. Each day brought new experiences and magical moments, creating indelible memories for the fabulous couple and their guests.
Day 1: A Warm Pizza Party Welcome
The first day began with a heartfelt welcome to the guests, who were treated to a lively pizza party. On the terrace of a stunning Florentine venue, an authentic Neapolitan pizzaiolo crafted fresh pizzas, delighting everyone’s palate. This initial gathering was not only a moment of conviviality but also a way to blend diverse cultures.
To enrich the atmosphere, we invited artists specializing in the Indian tradition of henna. The guests had the opportunity to choose intricate designs to be painted on their hands, creating a tangible connection to Indian traditions. The music, curated by a band of young French musicians, completed the scene, offering an international mix that made the evening even more special.
The table decorations for this evening reflect Italian style: tomatoes, pots of aromatic herbs, chamomile flowers, and even garlic, onion, and chili peppers to evoke all the colors and flavors of Italy.
Day 2: The Hindu Ceremony
The second day was dedicated to the traditional Indian ceremony, a highly anticipated moment for all. After a long morning of preparations, we set up a magnificent mandap, adorned with beautiful flowers reflecting the bride’s favorite colors. The priest, responsible for the Hindu ceremony, prepared the mandap with all the sacred items needed, honoring every traditional rite. Guests were engaged in an emotional and touching ceremony that celebrated the couple’s love and cultural roots.
Following the ceremony, we served a family-style buffet lunch, strictly Indian, vegetarian, and alcohol-free, in keeping with tradition. Guests enjoyed typical dishes, immersed in a festive and sharing atmosphere.
Day 3: An Italian Reception
The third day culminated in a traditional Italian reception. We arranged three long imperial tables, beautifully decorated and illuminated by enchanting lights. The colors chosen for the decor were classic wedding hues: white and elegant shades, adding a touch of sophistication to the entire evening.
The dinner was a triumph of Italian cuisine, culminating in a delightful millefoglie prepared in front of the guests—a moment that left everyone in awe. Throughout the evening, an Italian musical group entertained the guests with an international repertoire, enriched by that unique Italian flair that makes a wedding in Italy truly special.
The celebration continued with an open bar and dancing until 3 AM, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and fun. Guests danced and celebrated, merging Indian and Italian traditions into one grand celebration.
This Indian wedding in Florence was a perfect example of how different cultures can unite to create an unforgettable event. Each day brought new emotions and moments to cherish, and we are proud to have been part of this celebration. The fusion of traditions, flavors, and music made this wedding a unique experience, not only for the couple but for all the guests.
We are delighted to have contributed to realizing a dream and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Thanks to our newlyweds for their trust. It has been a wonderful experience for us to plan this event from scratch and turn it into these three amazing days. A big kiss to our wonderful Federico and Sonum!
