ACCOMMODATION
The beauty of the Amalfi Coast
The enchanting stretch of coastline that extends between Positano and Vietri Sul Mare and overlooks the Gulf of Salerno, in Campania, is known worldwide as the Amalfi Coast.
This natural paradise has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997 and is currently one of the major tourist destinations in Italy, located less than 60 kilometers from Naples.
The colorful villages overlooking the sea, with their intertwined and picturesque alleys, are also enchanting. Here, you can experience and savor the true local culture through gastronomic specialties and traditions that bring these magical places to life.

How to move along the Amalfi Coast
- Bus (economical): If you want to visit the coast using the bus line, then Amalfi could be a good base. Being a central hub for public transportation, staying in Amalfi allows for easy travel using the numerous bus routes connecting the town with the rest of the coast, reducing potential stress associated with driving along the often narrow and winding roads in the area.
- Car (not recommended): Opting to travel by car is a risky choice. This is because the roads are very narrow and congested, and during the tourist season, there is a lot of traffic. Additionally, parking is very expensive, around 40 euros per day in the most touristy cities like Amalfi. Choosing Ravello offers advantages in terms of parking.
- Motorcycle/Scooter (recommended): exploring the coast on two wheels is definitely the preferred method if you are familiar with two-wheeled vehicles. This is because the roads, although sometimes narrow, offer breathtaking views that are particularly enjoyed while traveling on two wheels, and it avoids the main traffic jams that can form in the most well-known areas. Additionally, parking costs considerably less, and it is not necessary to pay in all locations, unlike with a car.
